Our October guest is Hayley Gullen, whose autobio-graphic novel in progress This Might Surprise You tells the tale of her diagnosis and recovery from breast cancer. Like the best examples of Graphic Medicine, Hayley's comics mix humour with exasperating examples of her experiences with the NHS, as well as uplifting personal moments of triumph against adversity. This Might Surprise You was shortlisted for the 2023 Caliburn prize, and examples from the work in progress can be found on the author's twitter and instagram .
